Henningsvær is several small islands connected by bridges like pearls on a string.
Here you get to experience the rough southwest winds in the winter, and the azure-colored waters in the summer. In November and December you will find the blue kick sleighs you can use to do the Christmas shopping without any stress in the Pre Christmas Adventure. In February and March the Lofoten fisheries have started and you can experience the bustling life on the pier when the boats come back to deliver the catch of the day.
Henningsvær has grown to be a cultural hub in Lofoten, with several galleries showing both local and world known artists.
The place is also a favourite for climbers from all over the world to have a go at the big walls of the north or people who want to explore the skerries on a rib boat or by snorkeling. Down by the harbor you will find small shops and restaurants serving local food.
Stroll in the narrow streets and feel the atmosphere of the cozy fishing village where each season has its own charm.
